With so many festivities coming up (football games, parades, fall festivals etc.), it is very important to plan your snacking items ahead of time! Trust me, there are TONS of temptations out there and plenty of "convenient" snacks to grab on the go. But snacking healthy doesn't have to be a hassle or boring either!

I'm not much of a veggie person, never have been! I would always tend to snack on fruits and nuts, crackers and cheese and that would be about it lol. But when you pair something you like with something you don't care for, in my case veggies... you seem to find a happy medium lol! But in this case.... I found more than a happy medium.. I found a solution to my dislike towards veggies. Instead of grabbing some fattening ranch dressing full of words I can't pronounce to try and mask the flavor, I go for the Chobani! We are a Chobani family lol.

But honestly, I could probably eat just about any veggie now with Chobani Mezé Dip! I haven't tried them all YET, but I love, love, love the smoked onion and parmesan! I mean seriously... chips and dip who? I grew up eating sour cream and onion dip ( runs in the family), but this totally kicked its behind! Not only is it healthier and natural, but it is sooo yummy! Plus my kids love it! What more is there to say?!

So, seriously, when you are packing your snacks for a long afternoon or getting the afternoon snacks ready for the kiddos, or whatever it is you are prepping for, make sure you grab a Chobani Mezé Dip and your favorite or most tolerable veggie lol and get to snacking!

Trust me!

....You can find Chobani Mezé Dips at your local grocery store. I found it to usually be by the deli and near the vast varieties of hummus!

What are your favorite healthy snacks? Let me know in the comments below!

This season, one color has decided to stay with us a little longer than expected! I'm talking about Rose! Blush, Deep Pink, Rosé whatever! I love every shade and what better way than to pair it with OLIVE!

I always encourage those I am styling or giving advice to take risks, don't be afraid of trends( you may find your holy grail of colors or fits). If you like a specific color or pattern, embrace it!

For this look, I wanted to keep it simple and clean but change up the fittings in one look. So, I paired a simple form fitting dress that is sure to make you feel feminine and beautiful along with an over sized trench coat for a little extra movement. Simple pearl accessories and a clutch to match that gorgeous hat and boots!

I personally have always loved pearls. I don't think they are out dated or only for older women either. I think they add a level of elegance and for some reason, always seem to soften the look. You could wear jeans and a sweater and the moment you add a pearl bracelet or earrings, you have and instant softer look.

I personally am jealous of those that can ear boots that go past the ankle lol. I have big legs and it does become frustrating trying to find that perfect boot! So if you are reading this and you see these boots, DON'T WORRY!!! There are boots out there! But if you don't want to track them down, just opt for a simple low cut bootie, they look just as great!

I hope you are taking risks this fall with your wardrobe! What are you planning on adding to your look this season? Let me know in the comments below!

Wha Wha Wha Whaaaaa!!

As this years award season is over, we have to talk about the latest red carpet hits! As you know, I love red carpets and all the glamour that graces its crimson threads!
Unlike many awards shows, there are many hits and misses on the red carpet. It's like a lottery ticket, will it be worth millions? Or will it be worth 2 pennies and a plastic bag?

This years Emmys red carpet was definitely a winning ticket! There were so many stunning and dapper looks that it was nearly impossible for me to choose! Elegance and grace were definitely present last night!

Buuutt, after constant review and finally settling on my overall favorites, I am proud to share with you my TOP picks for best dressed from last nights Emmy Awards!

Outside of the boots, scarves and pumpkin everything, makeup is truly in one of its prettiest forms! From dark reds and purples, creamy browns and  all the shades in between. Fall lips are the most dramatic, yet sensual lips. There are so many shades, brands and styles of lipsticks out there, all you really need to do is collect the ones you look great and feel great in and keep them bad boys in trusty makeup bag or kit! I get pretty picky when it comes to dark lips and these shades are my "go to" colors!
Not only do they look well on different skin tones, but they could be used in other seasons as well for a look that's sure to stand out!

Enjoy!

Hey y'all.

Get ready for soups, cocoas, and a whole lotta pumpkin!

Fall is known for many things and comfort food is one of them! Let's face it, the colder it gets the more our bodies crave that ooey gooey, extra hearty foods that make us feel all warm and fuzzy inside!

BUT

Just because it's comfort food, doesn't mean that it should put a damper on your diet... there are plenty of foods out there during this time of the year that can make you feel warm and fuzzy with out all the guilt...

You know I love Pinterest and honestly they have some hits, misses and complete wastes of time. So to get this Fall Ball rollin, I wanted to share some of my favorite Fall foods that are not only a comfort food, but a great healthy meal!

Enjoy,

1st, my favorite Fall food, isn't technically a food lol it's a drink. This drink is my absolute FAVORITE!!!! After some research, I actually found recipes to make it at home! Soooo I will be doing that soon, VERY SOON! Until then I will just march on down to Starbucks to get my.......

 Pumpkin Spice Latte!!!

2nd Turkey Chili is one of the best comfort foods out there. Who doesn't love a good hearty chili anyway, it's packed with protein, fiber and not to mention its delicious! Check out this awesome recipe I found over at Wine and Glue!

3rd, Apple Crisp is one of those super sweet indulgences that you constantly tell yourself, " hey it has apples in it!" lol. Before I started watching what I was putting in my stomach, my ultimate favorite recipe for apple crisp was my grandmother's. She was from the east coast and part Dutch... need I say more?! But this recipe over at Tastes Better From Scratch, is wonderfully delicious! Off top it has way less sugar and butter than my grandmother's, but it has just as much flavor!

4th, Baked sweet potato fries are something that I honestly eat all year round! Not only are they healthier (if made healthy) but they are in my opinion, way more filling. I love to play around with different seasonings from time to time but I have found this recipe over at Moms Need To Know has been my "go to" source! Every now and then I will add a little cayenne pepper to spice it up!

Last but not least, Chicken Tortilla Soup! I love this recipe for so many reasons! 1, it's YUMMY!! 2, it's light and loaded with veggies and spices. 3, who doesn't love a Mexican inspired dish!? 4, this  is cheap and it can be divided into freezer meals! I love being able to put something in the slow cooker so I can go about my day AND have the aroma fill the house! This recipe over at Cooking Classy is super simple and absolutely yummy!

All of these recipes are healthy, easy and perfect for Fall! So grab your blanket and a bowl of one of these and you are good to go!

What are your favorite Fall foods? Do you have a go to recipe? Let me know in the comments below!!

Black and Grey

Got plans this weekend? Maybe a football game or headed out to the country for some apple picking.. then you need to be comfortable!

Growing up I never missed a football game from 7th grade- 12th (I was a cheerleader)! And even now as I'm older, I catch my 'boys playing every game starting from pre-season, (yes it counts!). And whether I'm at the game, tailgating,  or having friends over, I have to be comfortable. Same as going out to the country for family pictures and picking pumpkins!

For this look, I kept everything simple and cozy! Dark denim is a necessity in every closet! And since it's getting a bit chilly in morning and night hours, a cardigan is a must! I tend to wear cardigans even in the summer time (i'm crazy) so make sure you are stocked with plenty of them! Minimal accessories keep this look simple and ready for action! I mean seriously who wants to go out pumpkin picking with a huge bag and chunky jewelry?!

Like I said before boots are a staple for fall weather! So adding boots to this look was another no brainer. Make sure you pick a few solid boots that work well with just about any combination. Also, keep in mind of your areas typical fall weather. If it's colder obviously you will need an extra layer or vise versa. If it rains a lot, you may need to by an extra pair or two of boots and also different materials than the one in this look. But you're a smart cookie, you got this ;)!

What is your favorite fall activity? Is it a tradition?! Let me know in the comments below!

Men's Fashion #2

With Fall technically in a little over a week, (it's Fall already to me), I have to try and post all of my Fall Favorites! Hopefully I will be able to share all of the Fall love with you guys in between my frequent stops to load up on Pumpkin Spice Lattes lol.

But starting September off right, I decided to share this look for all the gentlemen out there! Fall in my opinion is THEE BEST time for men to dress! Sweaters, scarves, umbrellas and the occasional boots! But mostly blazers are no longer a part time thing and most guys suddenly get the urge to add in beautiful colors like oxblood and olive!

For this look I kept it pretty simple, nothing to daring, just simple, clean and sharp! A light grey and oxblood are always a great combo when you want to draw attention. When you have such a wide contrast, they eyes will automatically zone right onto you! Of course accessories for a man  have to look just as good! So why not be a little bold with your shoes and belts! I personally love cognac colored shoes... and if you can find a belt at wallet that matches perfectly, MORE POWER TO YOU!!

When dressing the gents, I only ask for one thing... just try it on! 9/10 times they end up loving it and tend to stay with that color or pattern for a while.

But everyone, let's be honest! Nothing looks better on a guy than a clean, sharp look(excluding a fresh hair cut)! If a guy works with his hands and is in jeans and t-shirts everyday, you will be amazed how he transforms from rugged hottie to millionaire stud!

TRUST ME!

I have seen it way too many times lol, which I'm sure you have too!

What do you like to see your man in during the Fall?! Have any favorites? Let me know in the comments below!
